“Every person we meet, every person we talk to, has their own story. A story we will never fully comprehend because we haven’t been a part of it. But even though their full story will forever remain closed off to us, we must always be aware of it, we must always keep the existence of this unknown story in the back of our minds.
This is our only chance to see a person in all it’s complexity.”

About motherhood, career and responsibility.
"The least, the really very least, would be if we were finally to get what we, as the main wage earners of a family are entitled to, namely a tax relief such as that which the main wage earners receive in the case of spouse splitting. But it would only really be fair if we were to get even more, simply because there is no second earner, simply because we are alone with everything. Because no one washes the laundry for us, empties the dishwasher, does the shopping and picks up the child from the nursery when we have to stay late at work."
